What Are New Moons All About?

New moons are a great time to get things started back up again. We just left the waning crescent phase of rest and release. We may have been feeling a little testy or exhausted these past few days. Coming in this New Moon, we must start fresh. We have rested, we have discovered what works and what doesn’t. So now it’s time to come up with some new plans, get started on some new projects, maybe try out some new routines. New, new, new!

What Is The New Moon In Taurus All About?

With this New Moon in Taurus, it is a great time to reevaluate our finances.

I don’t know about you all but the last thing I wanted to do last week, was create a new budget. My finances have changed drastically in the last week, but I was too tired to think about money. I was angry about the ways of the world. I didn’t want to look at my bank account and dissect the lack of money within it.

Times are tough, but I am excited to simplify my life. I am ready to evaluate the items I currently possess and see how I can make the most of those things in order to save money. Pre-pandemic, I really didn’t appreciate my belongings. I wasted food often, and I used toilet paper like it was going out of style. This new moon in Taurus says no more waste and excess! It’s time to respect our belongings and come up with new ways to use everything to it’s fullest capacity.

Now is also a great time to reevaluate our home security.

Taurus is all about feeling secure and stable. We live in a very uncertain, unstable, unsecure time. We can deny this fact or we can be prepared. Whatever prepared means to you…

For my family – when shit hit the fan, we felt like we needed a plan. (I have a Capricorn Sun, Taurus Moon Boyfriend. Security is everything to that dude.) It wasn’t an elaborate plan or anything but we made sure to discuss how we felt about the way the world was turning. We talked finances and what we would do if worst came to worst. We talked home security and how we planned to protect ourselves if zombies arose and looters took over.

OK I know that’s a bit much, and I’m not saying you should go to that extreme, but it is important to discuss safety and security with your loved ones. And what better time than a Taurus New Moon?

Regardless of how you handle this Taurus New Moon- Remember to never lose sight of what’s important to you.

Reevaluate what no longer serves you, yes, but do not give up on your true values in life. Everyone is very opinionated in this world, especially in the age of social media. Over sharing is a daily occurrence. Everyone is reacting to the Corona Virus differently. Some people think it’s a hoax, some people think they should still see their families so they don’t go completely stir crazy, some people feel like they should only leave their homes to go to the grocery store, and some people feel like groceries should be delivered and no one should leave their homes.

We all feel strongly one way or another and that is OK. We are going to feel how we are going to feel and we must channel that Taurus energy and stand our ground! Do not let the other side get to you. Understand that everyone is doing the best they can with what they know. People may not understand your ways of coping with this pandemic, but that is OK. It’s not for them to tell you how to live your life.
